KANNAWIDAN

Kannawidan Ylocos Festival

Have you ever been to the province of Ilocos Sur and be a part of its Kannawidan Festival? If not, then try to visit the heart of Ilocos Sur, Vigan, where the celebration takes place every after Vigan City Fiesta, usually on the first week of February.

This year, Ilocos Sur celebrates its fourth Kannawidan Festival and the 193rd founding anniversary, from January 31 to February 8. The festival features the rich culture of the province. It also showcases the different agriculture and industry products by the different municipalities through its trade fair. There were also various contests participated by men and women. Invited artists of major TV networks were scheduled each night in their appearance and shows. The highlight of this festival was the Saniata ti Ilocos Sur, a pageant contest, with candidates coming from the different towns of Ilocos Sur.

The festivity aims to preserve the province' rich cultural heritage. It is also a way Ilocos Sur be known by tourists and Filipinos for them to visit the province. Ilocanos are in their way towards productivity and economic upturn.

Soar high Ilocos Sur!

A TEACHER,,,MY DREAM!!!

 A TEACHER,,,MY DREAM!!!

Most observers of a Successful Classroom say things like; students are attentive, students are engaged, learning is taking place, etc. They may even say that students are having FUN! All of these may be true, but what about the Successful Classroom's Teacher? To a casual observer, teachers in different Successful Classrooms often seem very different!

Teacher education programs have struggled for years to identify how to 'produce' Successful Classroom Teachers. They debate whether teaching is an ART or a SCIENCE, which teaching STYLE/METHOD is most effective, and whether Successful Classroom Teachers are BORN or MADE.

Sadly, a consensus has never been reached! Professional educators do not even agree on the PRODUCT of Successful Teaching! Because of this, college education classes spend too much time on the theories of education, and too little time on actually HOW to teach. Most prospective teachers graduate from college with the FALSE impression that there are MANY ways to teach Successfully. Without a Professional consensus, school administrators remain reluctant to mandate HOW their teachers should teach.

NEW YEAR, NEW ME

 MY NEW YEAR PLANS

The New Year is a great time to reflect on the changes we want to or need to make. If you’re a looking student  at ways to improve yourself.  New Year’s Resolution is a secular tradition in which a person makes a promise to do an act of self-improvement or something slightly nice, such as opening doors for people beginning from New Year’s Resolution.
Commit yourself to getting good grades. Good grades are entirely necessary to get into a good school unless you’re a top notch athlete. The best case scenario is that you have good grades from the beginning. However, if you start off badly and improve your grades, colleges will give you points for this. Many admissions officers won’t look at your application if your grades are too low or show a steady decline. Spending a night studying while your friends play We may not excite you, but you need to look at this long-term. Think of it this way, grades are a bridge. They will serve you to get into a college where you will have more freedom. In college, grades may not be as important as in high school.
Try something new. High school is a great time to spread your wings. It’s about new experiences and self-discovery. Want a certain internship, there’s no harm in calling up and asking if they have any room for an eager high school student to work there. Want to try a new sport or activity, go ahead and try it. You’re not expected to leave high school knowing exactly what you want to do, but this is a chance to start narrowing down your interests. You’ll never know what you like – or how good you are at something – until you try something.
Be excited about going to college. Wherever you go to college, you’re going to meet new people, learn new things, and have a great time. That’s reason enough to be excited whether you end up attending a first choice school or a safety.

GOING GLOBAL THROUGH ENGLISH LANGUAGE

GOING GLOBAL

THROUGH ENGLISH LANGUAGE

English language is the main spoken language around the  world. International language is the idea of the English language as a global means communication with multiple dialects and international standards for the language. In our time English playing the principal role in our society, some countries teach English in the school as a second language, many countries use English in science, business, technology, politics, art, entertainment, music, advertising, and more. we can observe many possibilities and restriction of English as a global language. Some people feel English language is difficult to learn because theEnglish words sometimes have change.

However, from the past decade we can observe global changes in Standard English Language because every day only in people from the different countries prefer to speak and read using their own home language) Nevertheless, the globalization spreads rapidly throughout the world, the need of global language has become more critical then ever before. . As the world becomes more “globalised” or as corners of the planet open up for trade relations with other countries and use English as its working, political, and travel language for English increases.

EQUAL RIGHTS EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

EQUAL RIGHTS
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Equality or equal society implies that everyone enjoys the same rights. Everyone is bound by the same laws, has access to the same health care and education, and equal opportunity to employment. Given the diversity in race, social status and economic status in our society, true equality can be difficult to achieve.
One of the case related to the equal rights, equal opportunities is that the same rights of women and men. women should have the same rights as men because they make up half the society. Women should be treated equally and have same rights as men because the only difference between women and men is their sex and biological structure. Women and men are equal. Both genders are human beings who live their lives, and they should live them equally. I think that nothing should prevent women from doing the same things that men do. Men can work in any field, and women can too.
We dont need to be affraid to fight for our rights because we have the power to fight for it.
